the finest facilities and courses
The wines produced by Plumpton College are made and bottled on campus at our award winning winery by students from our wine production courses.
The students and our wines thrive in the professional and supportive environment we create and our alumni can be found making wine both in the UK and around the world.
With excellent links to wine producers and through providing first-class education, training and research, Plumpton is renowned for being the UK’s centre for excellence in wine.

Our award-winning Plumpton wines are exclusively produced from grapes grown in our own vineyard at Scaynes Hill, near Haywards Heath, East Sussex.
There are 13 different cultivars planted on this site: Chardonnay, Pinot noir, Pinot Meunier, Bacchus, Dornfelder, Rondo, Acolon, Seyval Blanc, Regner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, and Ortega.
We aim to process 25 tonnes of grapes and produce 40,000 bottles of award-winning still and sparkling wines each year at Plumpton, which we then distribute through local traders and national supermarkets.
